Marianna Rinaldi

February 28th, 1944 - January 23rd, 2024

Marianna (Skiba) Rinaldi, 79 of Vernon passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at Hartford Hospital. She was born on February 28, 1944 in Glastonbury, beloved daughter of the late Stephen Skiba and Anna (Ronskavitz) Skiba of Glastonbury, CT. Marianna (nicknamed Cookie) graduated from Glastonbury High School in 1962. Marianna resided in Vernon for over 50 years. She was a caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband Dominick of 56 years, daughter Jennifer of Vernon, son & daughter-in-law, Michael and Sandra and her grandson, John of Simsbury, sister Lorraine Bertotti of Port Richey, FL, sister-in-law Celia Skiba of East Hartford, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marianna is predeceased by her brother Daniel Stephen Skiba and brother-in-law David Bertotti. Marianna spent most of her career in the banking industry, working on international accounts for Connecticut Bank & Trust, Fleet Bank, and Bank of America. Marianna enjoyed spending time with family & close friends, the holidays, Summer days at the beach, road trips, traveling, and watching the New York Yankees, Uconn Men’s and Women's basketball teams. She was truly one of their biggest fans and cheerleader.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street Glastonbury on Saturday February 10th at 10:30am.
