Marta Kurzyna

Marta Kurzyna, 35, of New Britain, CT died unexpectedly Saturday, June 28th 2014. Marta was born in Poland and moved to the United States when she was 7 years old. She grew up in Brooklyn New York and later moved to New Britain. Marta will be dearly missed by the two loves of her life, her precious sons Kevin (13) and Jeffrey (4), also by her loving parents; her father Stanislaw Kurzyna and his wife Danuta of Queens, NY, her mother Alicja Kurzyna and Fred Pokora of Cleveland, OH., her beloved sister and best friend Eva Kurzyna and her fiancé Rich of Simsbury, a very special aunt Regina Kurzyna, maternal grandmother Helena Truskolaska of Poland, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Being a mom was Marta’s greatest joy. She treasured the time spent with her sons, family & friends. She loved baseball and was an avid NY Yankee fan. Marta loved life and lived it to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Henryka & Heronim Kurzyna and Jozef Truskolaski.

Funeral services will begin on Saturday, July 5th, 2014, at 8am from New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT, followed by her Funeral Liturgy at 9:30am in Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. She will be buried alongside her adoring grandmother Henryka Kurzyna, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation hours will be Friday, July 4, 2014 from 3-6pm at the funeral home.
