What I can say about Millie is that she was a woman of faith. I remember one time speaking with Millie, it had to do with a person having eternal life if they believed in the Lord Jesus Christ. I will never forgot what Millie told me, she said "Thats a divine fact." Believe in the Lord Jesus and confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord  and you will indeed have eternal life. Every time I talk to people about eternal life I will always remember Millie and how she knew for a fact, what a sec, she knew for a divine fact that those who believe in the Lord have eternal life. The bible says the just shall live by faith, and Millie exemplified what it meant to have and live by faith in the Lord... Till we meet again Millie all I can do is thank you for being an encouragement and an example.

You were a faithful friend and sister and always reached out to us regardless of the years that passed by.  You had the gift of hospitality as you extended your home at a time when my family and I needed to find respite.  Your selfless ways came natural and were examples of God’s unceasing love, mercy and grace.  The countless people who were touched by your spirit move me and as such, this is a testament to how you will always be preciously remembered.  You are in the presence of the Father….rejoicing, at peace and resting in the greatest love of all.  

His Master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant!  You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.  Come and share your master’s happiness!

Millie you’ll live forever in my memories and in the memories of all of us who were blessed to have you as a friend.  I remember our talks, the tears, the laughter and the long hours of conversations about our Lord Jesus. Millie, please forgive me.  Willie please forgive me.  There are no excuses, no words that will justify my complacency.   How my mind flew away from my responsibility to you is tragic.  It just shows how much I am not touching the One who lives in us. I do know how my heart aches and how very sorry I am to have let you (and myself) down, my dear friends  -

"The Lord grieves at the death of his saints" (Psalm 116:15, Tanakh).  We are saddened to hear that Millie has left us.  The world has lost much too be happy for.  Our hope is this, she cannot come back to be with us but we will go to her. This is your hope...come, Lord, Jesus!  Come!

Blessd Millie, We must cherish the relationships we make during our short stay her on earth. I hold in my heart the warmth you gave to my wife, my daughter and myself in the times we were fortunate enough to know you and your Husband and family through the church in newington. I recall vividly passing your room at hartford hospital while visiting my wife's mom and being called in by your daughter. The Lord put us there at the same time for a reason. Through the comfort of your presense your love has spoken through generations of family and friends through that we will know the Lord through your kindness and love. You will have a place in my heart and be an inspiration to serve others as you have shared your love,

Please accept our Deepest sympathies on your Loss. Although I did not know Millie personally for very long, my boys and I knew her through my wife Nancy and the scattered visits I personally, was able to be a part of. Christmas dinners, our boys Bar Mitzvahs and numerours phone calls. I was saddened to hear of her illness and more saddened to hear of her passing. William, you and your family I know must be very proud and honored to have had her in your lives. She was a very warm and caring person, dedicated fully to what she believed. Millie was and still is a beacon of light and of hope in my life. She exemplified excellence, purity and loyalty. To the Nieves family,  Just wanted to share some memories.  I will never forget how Millie and Willie opened their hearts and home to me.  Though we came from different cultural backgrounds, Millie made me feel so comfortable and made me feel like part of the family. I am going to miss Millie's warm care and her thoughtful and loving ways. Yes, Will and Millie did share the most wonderful meals with us-- arroz con gandoles (sp.?), Millie's special Ziti, Chicken fricasse, Millie's tollhouse cookies and miniature cheesecakes...the list goes on.  Millie always insisted on packing leftovers for me to take home.  Each meal and each visit warmed my heart and helped me to see the Lord's  love expressed in Millie and Willie's care for us.  I am going to miss Millie's detailed care.  Thank you for being willing "to spend and be utterly spent on behalf of our souls" (2 Corinthians 12:15)  You are a pattern for us younger believers in Christ to follow and your example has touched me deeply. Dear Willie, Rebecca, Mark, Leah and Family,

I was shocked to hear of Millie's home-going.  I have learned one thing at times like this; God is still on the throne and knows what He is doing.  We will never understand His timetable.  'Precious in His sight is the death of His saints.'  Psalm 116:15  Indeed Millie was a precious woman of God.  

I will remember her gentle spirit, sweet smile and kind words.  She loved my children, Joshua and Anna, and would ask about them as time passed whenever she would visit Christ Tabernacle.  Millie was a servant and gave 200% to every task that came her way, especially with Christian Ed.

May the Lord give all the grace that you need at this time.  My husband, Pastor Steven Carey, wrote a song entitled "He Will Carry You" and my prayer is that the Lord will do that and more.  

Wish I could be there with you all.  My prayers are with you.  May God bless you and keep you.

Dear Millie, How sad I am to know that you are no longer with us, but happy to know that you have gone to be with the Lord.  Although I knew you for a short time I remember when we first met and how friendly and loving you were towards me when I first came to the Church in Newington.  Always a smile on your face.  I feel blessed that while in Connecticut this past December I was able to see you and talk with you again.  What are the odds that your room was next door to my mothers in the hospital.  I am thankful to the Lord to have gotten the chance to talk and laugh with you again.  I will miss you and keep you in my heart always. We will laugh together again one day.
