Patricia Rohan Ambroszewski

Patricia “Patti” Rohan Ambroszewski, 87, of New Britain, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side at Ledgecrest Healthcare Center, Berlin, on Saturday, July 18, 2026. Patricia was born on June 28, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Robert and Helen Rohan. She was the beloved wife of Frederick Ambroszewski for almost 50 years.

Patti was raised in Queens, NY, where she attended public schools and High School, she attended Our Lady of Wisdom Academy, Ozone Park, NY, and then Wisdom College in Litchfield, CT. Patti completed graduate studies at Boston College.

Patti taught at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Waterbury and New Britain public schools, primarily at Holmes School, for 30 years.

Patti will be dearly missed by her husband, Frederick, sister Helen Rohan Bermpohl of Fairfax, VA., brother Jim (Pat) Rohan of Fairfax, VA., nephews Kevin (Ona) Rohan of Brooklyn, NY., Bob Bermpohl of Fairfax, VA., Marty (Suzanne) Bermpohl of Crofton, MD., John (Lil) Rohan of East Islip, NY., nieces Theresa Bermpohl of Fairfax, VA., Mary Pat Warter of Warrenton, VA., Therese Rohan of Massapequa, NY., brother-in-law Theodore Ambroszewski of Rochester, NY., nephews Michael Ambroszewski (Kate Foss) of Quincy, MA., Cody Harris of Melbourne, FL., Trevor Harris of Canterbury, CT., and cousin Audrey and Gay Tucker.

She is predeceased by her brothers Tommy and Robert, sisters Dorothy and Joan.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 9:30 AM from the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, to St. Maurice Church, 100 Wightman Rd, New Britain, for a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 24th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
