Paul Vasile, 86, of New Britain Connecticut joined his beloved wife Charlotte (Cookie) Vasile in Heaven on April 5, 2018. He was born on November 24, 1931 in New Britain, Connecticut to the late Maria Crisafulli Vasile and Anthony Vasile of Sicily, Italy. He graduated from New Britain High School in 1951 and the E.C. Goodwin Technical School in New Britain, Connecticut in 1952. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 – 1954 as an AE Mechanic stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Upon his return from military service he became a licensed P-1 Plumbing Contractor and owner of the Paul A. Vasile, Plumbing and Heating Company which was in business for over forty years prior to his retirement in 1993. He is a former President of the Connecticut Plumbing, Heating, Cooling Contractors Association and 4th Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus, Daily Council 12, New Britain, Connecticut. He was also an active member of Saint Joachim, formerly Saint Ann Catholic Church in New Britain, Connecticut. Paul and his wife Cookie enjoyed spending time together with family at their summer residence at Chalker Beach in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. In addition to his loving wife Cookie of fifty-eight years, he leaves behind two sons, Paul William Vasile of New Britain, Connecticut and Brigadier General (CT) Michael Anthony Vasile and his partner Angela Phinney of East Haddam, Connecticut and his one granddaughter Stephanie Antoinette Vasile as well as several nieces including Joanne Bates of Southington, Connecticut and Terry Busheme of Glastonbury Connecticut.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue in New Britain, Connecticut and a Mass of Christian Funeral Services following at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joachim (St. Ann) Roman Catholic Church located at 47 Clark Street in New Britain, Connecticut.
