Juan Crespo Malavè and Bernarda Medina De Crespo gave birth to Ramona in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico on August 14, 1933. For a woman who had no education she made a way when there was no way providing for her children. She worked as a seamstress at Capitol Swimwear on Bartholomew in Hartford in her early working years. I’m so sorry for your great loss and I will be praying for your family. While I’ve only known Ramona and some of the family for eight years, I have had many wonderful times with her and Amie. I cannot speak Spanish and Ramona, God bless her, was bound and determined that I would learn and she would teach me. Well, we didn’t quite get there, but I will always remember her gentle spirit, kind heart and her love for the family. Rest well Ramona, then dance with Jesus! You will be sorely missed by everyone whom you have touched.
