It is with great sorrow that we announce that Richard S. Lewicki, 35, of Kensington passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 23rd 2019. He was born in New Britain the beloved son of Romuald and Jadwiga (Sawicki) Lewicki. In addition to his parents he is survived by his loving sisters and their husbands, Elizabeth and Joel Dovitski, Joann Lewicki Kavarsky and Irene and Craig Desmarais. He was also the proud uncle of Jamie Lynn Kavarsky, Emily Dovitski, Alexa Kavarsky, Hannah Dovitski, Derek Desmarais, Taylor Desmarais, Ava Desmarais and his best friend Alvin. Rick loved being an uncle to his nieces and nephews who adored him. He was employed by T & T Electrical for many years and enjoyed his job. Rick enjoyed the outdoors and riding motorcycles as well as fishing and gardening. He was filled with kindness and was known for his caring compassionate heart. His kind heart and loving smile will be missed beyond measure by everyone he touched in his life. Funeral services will be held Monday at 8:30am at the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM on Monday, April 29th at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain, CT. A committal service will follow in the chapel at the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours for friends and family are from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, April 28th.
