

Rita was born on October 8, 1930, in Lisbon, New Hampshire, to William and Yvonne DesRosiers. As a young girl, she moved to New Britain, Connecticut, where she later met and married the love of her life, Norman Beaudoin. They shared 65 wonderful years together and built a beautiful life around family, faith, and friendship.
For many years, Rita devoted herself to raising their four children. Once they were grown, she pursued her interest in jewelry, taking gemology courses and eventually joining Michaels Jewelers in Bristol. She was one of the store’s top salespeople with many loyal clients who became friends.
Rita treasured time with her family and friends. She loved good conversation, lunch dates, walks, reading, cooking for others and shopping trips with her girls . She especially enjoyed the holidays, caring for her grandchildren, and traveling with Norm by her side.
Rita is survived by her children: Cheryl Fetzner of West Hartford, CT; Laura Eliason and her husband, Tom, of South Carolina; Nancy Marchetti of West Hartford, CT; and Rick Beaudoin and his wife, Eileen, of New York City. She was a proud grandmother to Bob Eliason of SC, Rachel Eliason of VA, Lindsay Anthony and her husband, Kevin, of CT, Jonathan Marchetti of VA, Jacqueline Marchetti of CT, and Hudson and Langley Beaudoin of NYC. She was also blessed with a beautiful great-granddaughter, Esme, daughter of Jacqueline Marchetti.
Rita leaves her sister Yvette Burinkas and her husband, Paul, of CT, as well as her brother Larry DesRosiers. She was predeceased by her sister Irene Pipkin and her parents. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces and nephews across the country.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will take place alongside her beloved husband, Norman, at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown.
