Rose began her career at Aetna Insurance Company in Hartford. She later became the secretary to the manager of WDRC Radio Station. During her time at WDRC, she coordinated a fundraiser for Danny Thomas to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The fundraiser was an amazing success, and Danny Thomas came to the radio station to personally thank everyone who helped make it possible.
Following her time at WDRC, Rose continued her career in the insurance business, working in customer service for MetLife and MassMutual. While working, she also pursued her education during the evenings, earning degrees in Business Administration from Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford.
After 25 years in the insurance business, Rose retired and enjoyed traveling to France with her sister, Adele, and brother-in-law, John. She especially enjoyed spending time in her perennial gardens at her home in New Britain, which was her favorite hobby.
Donations in Rose Marie Sinclair’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
