Rose May Grimard

Rose May (Surrette) Grimard, 85, beloved wife of Lionel A. Grimard, since 1997, of Middletown, CT, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2012 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief Illness with family by her side.

She was born May 30, 1926 in Rumford, ME to the late George Surrette and Mary Arsnault and was Catholic. Having previously resided in Meriden, she moved to Cape Coral, Fl, and then settled in Middletown, CT.

She graduated and attended Rumford High School.

Mrs. Grimard was self employed , co-owned and ran the Spot Restaurant with her second husband Louis R D’Agostino, retiring in 1997.

When her health was good she enjoyed dancing, ceramics at the Middletown Senior Center, playing with her cat RU, swimming and photography.

Rose will be most remembered for love to all. Her descriptions of food. Her love of her Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Lionel A Grimard, whom she remarried 5 years after her second husband Louis R D’Agostino passed away in a plane crash, Rose is survived and will be

dearly missed by: her daughter: Mary Lee Marshall and her husband Jack Marshall of Middletown ,CT, her sister; Patty Racik and her husband John Racik of Parsippany, NJ her three sweet Grandchildren: Jillane Grieco of Meriden ,CT Gail Richards Meriden, CT and Knowles Richards of South Meriden; her precious three Great Grandchildren: Aimee Rose Grieco Middletown, CT, Colin Thomas Grieco of Meriden and Christian Mathew Richards of Wallingford, a host of nieces and nephews, dear friends, neighbors and their cat RU. She was also predeceased by: three Brothers; Teddy, Peto, Archie and Five Sisters: Louise, Macki, Rosey, Theresa and her twin sister Eva.

Family and friends are invited for a Memorial in Rose’s Honor on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:00pm at the home of her daughter, Mary Lee Marshall, 17 Cedar La., Middletown, CT
