Rose H. Sobolewski

Rose was born in New Britain, and was a lifelong resident. She was a daughter of the late Walter Sr. and Helen Stachelek. She was employed by the Hospital of Special Care in New Britain for many years, and was an active member of St. Jerome Church. Above all she cherished spending time with her family, especially with her husband after retirement. Rose enjoyed cooking and had a special place in her heart for dogs.

In addition to her husband Stanley, Rose is survived by her daughter Maryann Sobolewski of New Britain, daughter-in-law Shelly Fournier, granddaughter Nicole Charest, sister Jean Schneider of Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made in Rose’s memory to the Connecticut Humane Society, 701 Russell Road, Newington CT 06111.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 8:00 AM from the New Britain Memorial – Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 9:00AM at St. Jerome Church, 1010 Slater Road. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, all located in New Britain.

Calling hours will be on Friday, March 15th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home.
