

Salvatore Crisafulli, aged 91 years, passed away on June 15, 2016. He was born in Sicily, Italy and lived most of his life in New Britain then Berlin, CT. He was the beloved husband of the late Pietrina (Gilormello) Crisafulli. He is survived by his children Carmelo Crisafulli and wife Jean, Maria Pennell and her husband James, Salvatore Crisafulli, Jr. and his wife Beverly, Josephine Ahern, who survives her late husband Ronald Ahern. He is also adored by his beloved grandchildren, for whom he had a special love for, Tracie, Jaycen and Daniel Crisafulli, Chad Ahern and wife Janell, Craig Ahern, and Gillian Pennell. Also, he is survived by his sisters Ophelia Slater, Rosalie Casserino, Josephine Serio and a sister in Sicily Concettina Monastra and several nieces and nephews.
Salvatore worked for Fafnir Bearing Company for many years and was on the Volunteer Fire Brigade with the company. He was an avid gardener who loved to be in his garden planting his tomatoes. He also loved to make his own wine. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff and nurses at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center for their loving care of our Dad.
Calling hours will be Friday, June 17, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, June 18th at 10:30 AM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home. Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home is 1 1/2 miles on your right.
