

Salvatrice (Aliano) Biondo, 95, widow of Salvatore Biondo, of New Britain, passed away on July 29, 2013. She was born in Solarino, Siracusa, Sicily, Italy and was daughter to the late Santo and Concetta (Bordonaro) Aliano. She had been a seamstress for Paula-Marie Fashions, a parishioner of St. Ann Church and it’s Ladies Guild and Italian Fraternal Society.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her children; her son, Michael Biondo and his wife Virginia of Burlington, a daughter, Josephine Slusz and her husband Anthony of Kensington, her daughter-in-law; Jane Biondo of East Lyme, her grandchildren; Tina and Jason Brede, Michael and Andrea Biondo, Samantha Slusz, Melissa Slusz, Mark Biondo and Jason Biondo, her great grandchildren; Hannah, Alanna, Jacob, Brandon and Bruce and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Santo Biondo and sister, Maria Calafiore.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 2, 2013 at 9:00am from New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in St. Ann Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery.
