Sandra (Massaro) Therrien 82, wife of the late Leo G. Therrien, passed away peacefully on Saturday September 5, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born in New Britain, October 22, 1943, a daughter of the late Dominic and Felicia (Pezzone) Massaro. Sandra graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1961, Bryant University, in Rhode Island with an Assoc. degree in Business in 1963 and Columbia Memorial School of Nursing in Hudson, NY with a degree in nursing. She worked in Hudson, NY at the Advent Nursing Home as a night supervisor for one year before moving back to New Britain where she worked at New Britain General Hospital and several nursing homes before becoming Director of Nursing at Monsignor Bojnowski Manor for 10 years.
Sandra leaves a devoted and wonderful daughter-in-law, Yin Concra who was more to her than as if she was her own daughter as well a many nieces,nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by two sons; Todd and Marc Concra.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 5-7pm at New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. Sandra's funeral will be held on Saturday, September 12 at 9am at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 at The Church of St. Patrick, 110 Main St., Farmington, CT 06032. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Stanley St., New Britain.
