Sharon P. Faraone

Sharon P. (Flynn) Faraone was called home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2019. She passed away surrounded by her husband, son, and daughter-in-law at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, CT. Sharon was born on June 30th, 1950 in Middletown, CT. She spent years working as comptroller for Camps Clothing store, then Bradlees. She married her husband, Carmine on September 9, 1978, moved to New Britain, and they welcomed their son Nicola into the world on September 6, 1979. Sharon worked for Stop & Shop from 1992-2010. Her love for baking and cooking won her many awards at local fairs. Sharon had a heart of gold, and loved to feed everyone. She is predeceased by her father, Gerald V. Flynn Sr. and mother Marie (Micale) Flynn. Sharon is survived by her husband Carmine, son Nicola G. Faraone and his wife, Irene, brother Gerald V. Flynn Jr. and his wife Charlotte. Sharon is also survived by her three grandchildren Panagioti, Nicola, and Melina Faraone, sister-in-laws & brother-in-laws Antoinette Potenza, Donato & Rosa Faraone, Joe & Dee Faraone, Rocky & Al Aldi, Rosalie & Michael Levanduski, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be missed, but her presence will always be strong. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9 AM at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian at 10 AM in St. Joachim Parish, church of St. Ann, 101 North St. New Britain. Committal will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation will be on Friday February 1st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. For directions and online condolences, please visit newbritainsagarino.com

I am very sorry to learn about Sharon's passing and I send my condolences to her family. Sharon and I were high school friends and I remember her with much affection. She was a kind, loving person with a good sense of humor and a heart of gold. She was a pleasure to be with and she always made me smile. Even though I did not see her after high school, I never forgot what a wonderful person she was.
