Shawn E. Johnson, 39, died unexpectedly May 31, 2014. Mr. Johnson, after growing up in New Britain, CT moved to Glocester, RI in 1992 where he graduated from Ponaganset HS in 1995. He was the son of the late Barbara Thomas-Johnson. Mr. Johnson pursued culinary training before working in CT area restaurants as a line cook. He is survived by his maternal grandmother Eddie Rose Thomas, four uncles: Charles, Jeffrey, Larry and Michael Thomas. He also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews and a brother James Johnson from his late father Percy Johnson. Mr. Johnson was also predeceased by his grandfather the late Rev. J C Thomas, and Uncle Ronald Thomas.
Calling hours Monday, June 9, 2014 10:00-11:00AM followed by a celebration of his life at 11:00AM at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. ,New Britain, CT.
