Stanislaw Sliwka, 79, of Berlin, passed away on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010. He was born in Poland to the late Aleksander and Zofia (Koziol) Sliwka, had previously lived in New Britain and was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
He is survived and will be missed by his wife, Henryka (Marusa) Sliwka, his loving children; his son, Andrzej and Jolanta Sliwka of Rocky Hill, two daughters; Bozena and Leszek Radek of Kensington and Agnieszka and Fernando Juarez of Berlin, his seven precious grandchildren: Marlena, Alexandra, Lucas, Dominic, Michelle, Jeffrey and Nicole, his two sisters: Helen Plona and Barbara Zakrzewski, both of New Britain, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin on Monday, March 01, 2010 at 8:30am at the New Britain Memorial & Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30am in Sacred Heart Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 4-8pm at the funeral home.(I-84, right off exit #37, 1 ½ miles on right).
