He is survived by his wife, Irina Urmancheeva, by his loving son Richard Krysiak and his wife Phyllis Krysiak of Farmington CT. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth Krysiak of Norwalk, CT and Peter Krysiak of Glastonbury CT, as well his stepdaughter, Ekaterina von Getchmen-Valdek of Strobl Austria and his stepson, Eldar Urmancheyev of Moscow, Russia. He is also survived by his confidante and long-time special friend Asi (Zdzislawa Lempicki). He was predeceased by his first wife Irene Krysiak who he was married to for 45 years.
As a humble WWII veteran, he received many distinguished military decorations. Mostly notable are the Military Order of Virtuti Militari (which is Poland's highest military decoration for heroism and courage in the face of the enemy at war) and the Cross of Valor (for his courage on the field of battle at Monte Cassino in Italy).
Tadeusz was active in the New Britain YMCA and the Holy Cross Church of New Britain. He loved reading, listening to classical music and opera, and was a passionate sports enthusiast who especially loved watching tennis.
