Thomas Goracy, 40 of New Britain died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. He was a native and lifelong resident of New Britain, attended Sacred Heart School and graduated from EC Goodwin High School. He was formerly employed by Pratt and Whitney Co.
He was a beloved son of Irene (Wisniewski) Goracy and the late Joseph Goracy.
Tommy was a caring son, brother and grandson, loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Irene (Wisniewski) Goracy and his sister, Sandy Goracy , his grandmother, Aleksandra Wisniewski all of New Britain. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours are from 4 to 7:00 pm today, Friday, July 8, 2011, at the New Britain Memorial & Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain.(directions: Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right.) Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 8:30am at the funeral home and 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church. Private Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
