Veronica Rose (Kempa) Oliver, 90, beloved and generous mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, entered into eternal rest on February 1, 2013 at her home. Born in New Britain on Jan. 13, 1923 to Jan and Victoria (Zelek) Kempa. She is survived by her children, Edmund and Catharine Oliver, Eve and Roy Riggins, with whom she made her home, John and Susan Oliver; grandchildren Lisa and Robert Vaeth, Robert Koczera, Jason and Joanne Riggins, Michael, Matthew and Keith Oliver and Elaine DeLagrave; six great-grandchildren; sister Dorothy Gierula; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Edmund; son Richard; grandson Jamie; and siblings Mary Chrzanowski, Helen Devokaitis, Margaret Zajac, Sophie Myska and Frank Kempa.
