Vincent was born in New Britain, Connecticut, on August 3, 1918 and was a life-long New Britain resident until 2016. He was a graduate of New Britain High School, class of 1936, where he was awarded the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute of New York Medal in Math and Science. He was a radio operator in the Army Air Corp during World War II and served as a medic in the Army Reserves 76th Infantry from 1951 to 1954.
He was employed by the United States Postal Service in New Britain from 1943 until his retirement in 1980. He was a life-long member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in New Britain and a member of the Marchigiana Society of New Britain.
Vincent was an avid reader, reading three books a week into his 98th year, was a frequent visitor at the Thomas Jefferson Branch Library, and he completed two to three crossword puzzles a day. Earlier in his life, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and was known as a steady, stable man who maintained a low profile yet amused his family and friends with a wry sense of humor.
He is survived by daughter, Anne Strinie, and her husband, Gregory, of Avon, Connecticut, son Vincent Louis Conti, and his wife, Rebecca, of Flagstaff, Arizona, three grandchildren, Marc Uccello, Jr. of Avon, Rebecca Kaminski and her husband, Alex, of Farmington, and Vincent Matthew Conti and his wife, Kim, of Glastonbury, six great-grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, Charlotte, and Anna Kaminski, Vincent Leonardo and Anderson Conti. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Robert D'Onofrio, and his wife, Judith, of New Britain as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Virginia DeConti, Evelyn Curi, Hilda O'Neil, Mari Knabe and Edna Conti.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 9: 00 Am from the New Britain Memorial- Donald D.Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St Jerome Church 1010 Slater Rd New Britain.
