Walter Norczyk

Walter Norczyk, 80, beloved husband to Doris (Busch) Norczyk, of Southington, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Hospital of Central CT after a long illness. He was born in New Britain on February 28, 1933 and was son to the late Frank and Frances (Zisk) Norczyk. Walter had been employed by the State of CT as a Corrections Officer for 20 years and retired in 1990. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Spartans Club and American Legion. Walter will be most remembered for his willingness to always help others.

In addition to his loving wife, Doris, he is also survived and will be dearly missed by his daughter, Karen Grotenhuis and her husband David of Norwood,NC, two grandchildren: Alicia Riley of Rockingham, NC and Gregory LeJeune of Gladstone, MI and his four precious great grandchildren: Abi, Noah, Austin and MaKenzie.

Family and friends are invited Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 4-6pm for visitation, followed by a Prayer Service at 6pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. There will be no burial services.
