

Wladyslaw was born in Turpiaski, Poland on December 8, 1919 son of the late Maria (Straczynska) and Jakub Janusek.
He survived the German Work Camps of World War II, where he met and married his wife Helena of 68 years.
He lived, worked and started his family in Germany, relocated and completed his family in France before immigrating to the United States in 1956.
He was employed by the Berlin Public School Systems retiring in 1985. And was a member of Sacred Heart Church for over 55 years.
Wladyslaw enjoyed the outdoors, taking long walks, tending his garden, going to the beach and especially spending time and caring for all his grandchildren.
He was a kind, gentle and loving man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Regina Koluch of New Britain, Christine and her husband Paul Syntlo of Plainville, Halina and her husband Zbigniew Macniak of Newington, son-in-law Michael Frankowski of New Britain. As well as 11 grandchildren, Julie and husband Paul, Nusha, Kenny, Debbie, David and wife Cheryl, Karen and husband Mark, Tommy and wife Lucy, Michele and husband Brian, Laura, Robert and Nicole; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister Bogumila Bebenek and sister-in-law Halina Nowakowska both in Poland. And many nieces and nephews here and in Poland.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter Diane Frankowska and son-in-law Richard Koluch.
Wladyslaw’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Ela for her excellent care, love and support during the past 2 years. Also to Dr. John Harbut, the staff of Monsignor Bojnowski Manor, and Gene from VNA for their compassionate care.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 8:30 AM at the New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain followed by the funeral liturgy at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad St. New Britain, Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday, December 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, Directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, funeral home in 1 ½ miles on your right.
