Zbigniew was born in Warsaw, Poland and became a long time resident of New Britain, CT. He was the son of the late Jan and Maria (Kowalczuk) Karp. He was a parishioner of Holy Cross Church and was enjoying retirement after working 30+ years at Reno Machine Co. in Newington, CT. In addition to his devoted wife, Zbigniew is survived and will be dearly missed by his 3 children, his two sons Peter Karp and his wife Jocelyn of Cromwell, CT, Adam Karp and his wife Alison of Hayward, CA, and his precious daughter Eva and her husband Kevin Benzi of Middletown, CT. Zbigniew cherished time spent with family including his 5 grandchildren (Caitlyn Karp, Brayden & Dylan Benzi, and Edward & Charles Karp). His closest extended family include his uncle Witold Karp, Basia Orlowski and her children Steven Orlowski and his wife Julie, Dariusz Orlowski, and Dorothy Orlowski. Zbigniew is survived by his two brothers (Leszek and Zdzislaw) and their families. He also leaves behind many loving family members in Poland including several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his oldest brother Jan and beloved brother-in-law Josef Orlowski. “Ziggy” was the life of the party and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Our family asks that you take a moment to remember the great times that were had and to raise a glass to celebrate his life. Sto Lat!
