Wow, I'm just finding out about Rick's passing. I grew up in New Castle DE, and he was a local staple. We moved away in the 90's but I will never forget him. So sad to hear about his passing.

I grew up in JF in the 70's and remember Ricky walking, listening to his radio, and waving to everyone. RIP Rick.

We all are going to miss seeing Radio Rick around Newcastle. Everyone new and loved him. HE will be missed. RIP.

I remember Rick. He always would wave to you. He will be missed.

Better late than never, ole Ricky will surely be missed by us all @ CPG. Lots of stories & memories over the years,Rick had a unique way of greeting our customers and waving hello to the passing motoring public and Rick would most times all ways get a response-some happier than others. Ricky was amusing & entertaining and was a regular part of our little club at the station. RIP Rick. Thoughts & prayers to your family.

Rick was so popular, he is listed on oldwilmington.net under people. Will always be a part of New Castle, RIP

Rick touched so many lives. There are few people that can bring a smile to everyone he meets. When I was a kid I tried to walk with Rick for a while. He left me in the dust. He will be missed by the entire New Castle area. Rest In Peace to our very unique friend.

If not a paragraph, Rick was a chapter in everyone's life in the New Castle area. I worked at the service station Rick went to everyday and had many nice talks with him. He was a precious Man..RIP Rick..

My Brother David summed up perfectly what Rick was to us at CPG.  A regular visitor that provided plenty of laughter and smiles and sometimes chaos. He will be missed.

Rick was a very big part of Castle Hills and the era of the 50's and 60's.  Many of us remember he and his radio dancing everywhere.  May he rest in peace.

Ricky was my sister Bobbies best friend. She had the hair salon next to super fresh, he would always just come in and sit and talk to Bobbie, no one else. She would always buy him a tasty cake and a soda while he waited for her. She too has passed and I know in everyone's heart,he will be missed, and I know Ricky and Bobbie are meeting, and are happy. God Bless you all who touched Ricky's heart as he did all of ours. RIP, and know Ricky will be remembered always.

Growing up in Swanwyck Estates in the 60's I have many fond memories of Rick and his radio-everyone knew and loved him.  He truly was a New Castle legend!  RIP

Growing up in Jefferson Farms in the 70s - I remember you fondly Ricky. Peace to your family and loved ones.

I often though about him thru the years and have seen him a couple years back after not seeing him in many years. He was still a happy go lucky guy. I remember always seeing him walking around waving to everybody. I would speak to him and he would just smile and keep on walking. He will always be missed by many. As a child growing up in JF late 1970s we saw Rick walking around many times a week and he would always wave to us and we said hello several times in the store. So sorry to the family.I grew up in Swanwyck Estates and when I was little he would cut thru our neighborhood and down my street everyday to get to the 7-11 and the old A&P with radio in hand. RIP RICKY!

Rick was a great guy.  He would walk all over our area with radio in hand, when I lived in New Castle.  I admired his zest for life.  He saw the simple things in life while we were strumming through the rat race in life.  God Bless you Rick.  You are now dancing with the angels!!!!!
