Raymond Anthony Murphy of New City, NY died at home in the loving care of his family on September 28, 2019. He was born on August 12, 1956 in New Brunswick, Canada, to Charles and Anna. He attended John Jay High School in Cross River, NY and graduated from Trinity-Pawling School, where he played hockey and football. He became a professional mover, and managed an Antique Transportation Service, and after dedicating himself to full-time parenting and home maintenance, he worked as a clerk for Stop and Shop in New City. He enjoyed the outdoors like hiking, camping and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife Donna (nee Powers), and his loving children Patrick, Bridget, Dennis Graiani and Kevin Graiani Jr. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jim (Addie), Mike (Debbie), Jean Krause (Keith) and Mary Gill (Geoff). He is pre-deceased by his brother Charles Murphy Jr.(Elizabeth), Maureen Jersey (Rich), and Theresa Loye (Alec). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. He had life-long friends and was especially fond of and loved by the entire Kruk Family. He had friends who called him or checked in on him every day during his two year battle with Leukemia.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Church, in New City on October 7th at 10am. Followed by interment at St. Anthony Cemetery, in Nanuet, NY.
