Adele Cecelia Perruna

Adele C. Perruna of Spring Valley passed away on December 5, 2010 with love and prayers from her entire family. She was born in New York City on November 25, 1923 to James J. and Mary C. Murray. Adele is survived by her loving and devoted children: daughter Lynda A. and her husband Daniel J. O’Brien, sons Victor J., Thomas J. and his wife Doreen, John E. and his wife Lisa, daughter –in-law Patti Kugler, and sister-in-law Genevieve Hopper. She is also survived by her adoring 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandsons, as well as her devoted caretaker, Petra. Adele was predeceased by her husband, Victor E., her son Dominic and her brother James. She worked along with her husband, Victor, in the family owned Perruna’s Restaurant in Spring Valley. Adele was an active member of St. Joseph’s Parish and The Mother’s League. Adele will always be remembered for her soft spoken manor, her shy smile and her devotion to her family. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 9th from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 10th at St. Joseph’s Church in Spring Valley at 10am followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. Donations can be made in Adele’s memory to United Hospice of Rockland or Jawonio.
