Agnes Purtill

She will always be in the hearts of her brother, Robert Strong and her nephew, Thomas Strong. She was a loving mother to her children, Kathleen Purtill, John G. Purtill (wife Adele), Thomas Purtill (wife Cheryl), Joseph Purtill (wife Barbara), James Purtill (wife Anita), Patricia Purtill McKeon (husband Richard), Jeanne Purtill Lacker (husband Andrew). She will be missed by her grandchildren, John, Daniel, Christopher, Ryan, Matthew, Michael, and Joseph Purtill; Sarah, Timothy, and Laura Lacker; Sean, Brendan, and Luke McKeon. She was blessed with six great-grandchildren, John Daniel, Aiden, Connor, Jack, Juliana, and Ethan Purtill. Agnes loved the mountains and snow and family gatherings. She was a devout and active member of St. Augustine's Parish for over 50 years. She inspired many with her faith. Her love and devotion as a wife and mother will never be forgotten. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY on Wednesday from 7-9pm and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday 10:30am at St. Augustine's Church. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery.
