
Albert A. "Big A"Ferrante of Stony Point, NY died on December 22, 2010 at his residence in Stony Point, NY. Albert was born on February 27, 1926 in Haverstraw, NY to Sam and Kathryn (Storz) Ferrante. He has lived all his life in the county. Albert married Pauline Benfatta on April 14, 1951 in St. Peters Church, Haverstraw, NY. He served in the Army during WWII with the 101st Airborne and 97th Infantry Division in France and Germany. He was the holder of Combat Infantry Badge and two battle Stars and Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Albert is survived by his wife of 60 years Pauline; son Paul (Debra) of Pomona, NY, daughters; Linda (Joseph) Cacioppo of Chester, NY, Kathryn (Lenny) Wenzel of Punta Gorda, Fl., Lisa (Judd) Semeyn of Tampa, Fl, Margaret (Daniel) Cuite of Rivervale, NJ. He was predeceased by his daughter Mary Rose 1970. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 11 great-granchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at St. Gregory's Church Garnerville, NY at 10AM. Burial will follow in Fred Loescher Veterans Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
