Angela Sala passed away on January 27, 2011. She was 93 years old. Angela was born in Guardia Lombardi, Avellino, Italy on September 21, 1917 to Pasquale and Camilla (DiMatteo) Maiorano. She worked as a factory worker in Mt. Vernon, NY. Angela loved cooking, crocheting, and gardening but her family always came first. She was an amazing role model for her family and was always willing to help others. Angela is survived by her sons Carmine (Maria) Sala and Pasquale (Maria) Sala; her daughter Yolanda (Antonio) Celetti; her 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe, and son Rocco. Viewing will be held on Saturday January 29 from 69PM and Sunday January 30 from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday January 31 at St. Francis Church in West Nyack, NY at 10AM followed by burial at Beechwood Cemetery in New Rochelle, NY. Donations to a charity of your choice can be made in memory of her name.
