Anne Long, a longtime resident of Valley Cottage passed away Tuesday, August 15th. Her passing came 6 years after a life saving double lung transplant. Anne was born December 27th, 1945 to parents Jerry and Pat Curtin. Anne grew up in Flushing with her younger sister Kathy, and attended "The" Mary Louis Academy for young ladies. Anne met her future husband, John at a dance. John and Anne settled in Valley Cottage where they had their two children, Kathleen(Chris) and Thomas(Tara). They were also blessed with four beautiful grandchildren, Cate, Chris, Kayleigh, and Owen. Anne had a long and successful career in real estate with Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty. She enjoyed traveling, gambling in Atlantic City, and hosting family and friends at her house on Long Beach Island. The wake will take place Thursday, from 3-9PM at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. The mass of Christian burial will be 10AM at St. Anthony's Church Nanuet, NY. Interment to follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery.
