Bruno Diana

Bruno Dante Diana of Valley Cottage, NY passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was 79 years old. Bruno was born in Harlem, NY on November 24, 1934. His wife Tina (Gargano) Diana predeceased him on August 24, 1986. He is survived by his daughter Carinna (Diana) Begley, his Son-in-Law Richard Begley, and his grand-children, Matthew and Danielle of New City, NY. Bruno is also survived by his brother Ateo Diana and his nieces Carol Muttit (Tom), Laura Longarino (Ben) and his grand-nephew Danny and grand-nieces Jessica and Kelly.

Bruno was a devoted husband and father. He found his vocation as a musician and music teacher, graduating from the HS of Performing Arts and the Manhattan School of Music. He served in the US Military Academy Band at West Point from 1958-1961. Bruno enjoyed travel, the arts and the company of family and good friends.

Family will receive visitors on Monday, March 17, 2014 from 8:30-9:30am at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Services Inc., New City, NY. A funeral service will be held at St. Augustine’s Church at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations to a local food pantry or the American Cancer Society can be made in his name.
