Carmela Trezza Rizzetta

Carmela Rizzetta passed away on May 13, 2013 at the age of 90. She was born on September 2, 1922 in the Bronx to Nicholas and Virginia Trezza. Carmela will always be remembered for her great cooking and baking. Her family was her world, and she will be sorely missed.

Carmela is predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Tony Rizzetta, and brothers, Earnest Trezza, Andrew Trezza, and Sylvester Trezza. She is survived by her children, Michael Rizzetta of Congers, Debbie Rizzetta of Congers, Faith Angel (Frank Martarano) of Ringwood, NJ, Susan Mian of Newburgh, NY; brother, Nicholas Trezza; sister, Josephine Napoletano and grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas Gaudio, Jade Rose, Equan'cai and Quanzha Martarano, and Alessandra and Julia Mian.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Services, 113 Lake Road East, Congers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 17th at 10:00 AM at St. Paul's Church in Congers. Burial will follow at Frederick W. Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
