Charles Tarulli

Charles Tarulli, of New City, NY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on July 25, 2025, at the age of 86. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his daughter, Gina Tarulli and his son, Robert Tarulli (Tara), along with his four grandchildren (Cody, Drew, Keri [Keith], and Kali) and two great-grandchildren, Jett Charles and Dottie Marie. He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn, and many nieces and nephews who called him ‘Uncle’.

Charles was born in Brooklyn, NY, on May 29, 1939. Charles married the love of his life, Donna, in 1964. They moved to New City, NY, a few years later, where they raised their family and made countless memories. As the patriarch of his family, he always made sure everyone was taken care of before himself. He was a role model to his grandchildren, who looked up to him, and more recently, to his two great-grandchildren, who brought many smiles to his face and who adored him.

A proud graduate of St. Bonaventure University’s Class of 1962, he considered Bonas his home away from home and his first true love. He was a staple at basketball games, where he could be seen holding his SBU banner proudly and cheering on his team. His infectious love for the Bonnies is something that he passed on to his family, who will continue the Bona spirit in his name.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 31st from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home followed by burial at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY.
