We only had the pleasure of knowing David in his last years, but we were so glad that he was a part of our lives. We have rarely attended so joyous a wedding as David and Susan's on the beach at the shore. And the summer afternoon cocktails and conversation were a high point of the day. It was great fun to trade anecdotes about teaching and life with David. We will miss him

Professor Wedlick was a great professor. Moreso of a coach like professor than anything and it worked well. He held himself and his students to the highest of standards. I cannot thank him enough for his commitment to us as students and his commitment to teaching. Truly an inspiring man.

My heartfelt sympathies to Dave’s family and friends. I consider it an honor to have had Dave as a colleague and more importantly, as a friend for over 30 years. His service to the profession of law enforcement, as a practitioner and educator has earned him well deserved respect. Dr. David Wedlick will be greatly missed by his personal family and his professional family. Rest In Peace my brother in blue.
