Deanna J. Braun age 75 entered into eternal peace on May 10, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. Deanna was born in Columbus, WI to Alice and Lester Brandt. Deanna started her nursing career as a hospital corp wave at Jacksonville, FL Naval Air Base. She was a Registered Nurse at Helen Hayes Hospital and Letchworth Village until her retirement in 1996. Deanna had a love of traveling in the family's RV.
Deanna is survived by her husband of 54 years, Henry Braun, her children Mark and his wife Catherine Braun of Chester, NY, and Craig Braun and Mary Russo of Chester, NY, three grandchildren; Samantha, Joseph, and Kyle Braun. She is also survived by his brother Lester Brandt of WI, and his sister Alice Knitter of FL, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Charles Brandt.
Burial will be private. Donations can be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society and/or the United Hospice of Rockland.
