Just heard this morning and was heartbroken. It was a gift to have Diane as such a close friend in and after college. She welcomed me into her family and was there during the good and bad times with her sense of humor, caring and sanity. Gary, Kim, Kerrie and Jackie - you are in my thoughts - sending love and hugs.

I have so many fond memories of the times our families spent together in Guilderland, NY.  Diane had a magical personality, a wonderful sense of humor, a beautiful smile and was always bursting with such positive energy.  After reading the lovely article about Diane by Ryan Buncher and the comments made by the Pearl River Superintendent of Schools and Ali and Carol Dyer, it is very obvious that Diane was highly thought of, well respected and much loved by the teaching community and her students.  She was truly one of those rare teachers who forever makes a difference!  How proud of her you can always be.  So even in this time of great sorrow, Diane would want you to be cheered by thoughts of how much she loved you and how close she will always be in your memories.  Hopefully, the love, thoughts and prayers from family and friends will let you feel the care and concern felt for all of you during this difficult time.

So very sad to hear of Diane's death.  She taught at Cherry Lane School, Suffern School District, back in the '80's and was wonderful to work with and wonderful with her kids.  I was Principal of Cherry Lane at the time.  She had a gift for helping little children achieve and to feel good about what they were able to do.  All the best to her family - she will be missed.
