Diane Rubbert

Diane was born December 4, 1956, in Nyack, NY. She attended St. Paul’s School, Congers NY and graduated from Clarkstown North HS 1974.

She was predeceased by her parents Charles Dittmer and Eleanor (O’Loughlin)Dittmer. She is survived by her husband Bill and children Christy Bamberger and Michael Bamberger and her dog Twix, all of Valley Cottage, NY. She is also survived by her brothers Bill (Joann)of Garnerville, NY and Michael (Joanie) of Wayne NJ and many nephews and nieces.

Diane was a dedicated employee at Northern Manor Nursing Home, Nanuet NY for almost 20 years. She was loved by all that knew her and appreciated for her kindness and generosity toward others. She was the funniest person we knew, with quick wit and a sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest of days. She was incredibly strong, resilient and determined- a true fighter who faced life’s challenges with courage and grace. She inherited the same feisty spirit as her father, and that spark remained with her throughout her life. Above all else, She cherished her entire family. Her family was her greatest joy,and every decision she made was guided by the love she had for those closest to her. She was our biggest supporter, our protector, our safe place, and our greatest example of unconditional love. She leaves behind countless memories filled with laughter, strength, and love that will forever remain in our hearts.

Visitation will be held at the Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home on Main Street in NewCity NY on Wednesday 22th of July form 3:00pm to 7:00pm. A Christian Mass will be held at St Augustine’s Church, New City, NY at 10 am on 23rd July2026. A Christian burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery, Rockland Lake NY.
