

Edward J. (Ed) Bohan passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was 94 years old.
Ed was born on March 31, 1931, in New York City to Edward A. and Mable (Armstrong) Bohan. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Pace College in 1953. From 1953 to 1955, he served in the U.S. Army, working in finance, and during his time stationed in Japan, he climbed to the summit of Mt. Fuji—a memory he cherished throughout his life. He attained the rank of Corporal. In 1975, he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
On June 8, 1957, Ed married the love of his life, Elizabeth (“Betty”), at the Church of the Good Shepherd in New York City. Together, they raised two daughters, Patricia and Nancy, in West Nyack, New York. He spent his career as an auditor for the County of Westchester in Westchester, New York. In 2014, he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ed was predeceased by his beloved wife, Betty, and by his son-in-law, Bob Klimek. He is survived by his daughter Patricia (Bohan) Brockmann, her husband, Robert, and their children Ashley, Brian, and Owen. He is also survived by his daughter Nancy (Bohan) Klimek and her children, Andrew and Christopher.
A wake will be held on December 1 from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on December 2 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi in West Nyack, New York, followed by a Catholic burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, New York.
