Edward R. Fantini

Edward R. Fantini passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 18, 2015. He was born in the Bronx, NY on July 2, 1938 to Gladys (Rinehart) and Alfred Fantini. The family moved to Rockland County in 1967, moving to Haverstraw and in 1974, they moved to Congers. Edward served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1960. He graduated from CUNY in New York City with a BBA in 1969. He began his career with Manufacturers Hanover Trust in 1956 and retired after 37 years as Assistant VP with JP Morgan Chase in New York City. Edward worked for various companies after his retirement from Chase and completed his career with Presidential Life in Nyack. Edward was a member of West Nyack Senior Citizens II and was an avid reader. He will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather whose greatest joy came from his children and grandchildren.

Edward is survived by his wife Judith; children: Deborah Fantini-Martinez, Edward Fantini, Jr, Scott Fantini, Dawn Fantini and Christopher Fantini and their spouses as well as his loving grandchildren. He is predeceased by one brother and one sister.

Family will receive visitors on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., New City. Mass of Christian burial will take place Friday 10am at St. Anthony’s Church followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
