

He was born in Manhattan on June 30,1934 to John O'Malley and Margaret (Spence) O'Malley. He was the loving husband of Geraldine O’Malley who predeceased him in December, 2000.
Ed was a resident of Stony Point, NY from 1965-2008 before moving to Arizona where he would always say it was his kind of weather hot and sunny. He was a US Army Veteran and retired NYC firefighter. After retirement he was a school bus driver where he brought so much joy to many children and their families, going above and beyond each and every day. His greatest joy was to make people smile, leaving lasting impressions. If you knew Ed, you loved him. He impacted so many lives and had the biggest heart. His faith in God and his love for his family was admired by all.
Ed is survived by his son Keith, his wife Jessica of Wallkill, NY; son Eddie O'Malley of Hopewell Junction, NY, Nancy O'Malley of Mahopac, NY; daughter Lynn and her husband Rob Cazzolla of Gilbert, AZ; son Tom and his wife Christine of Gilbert, AZ; nine grandchildren: Danielle Gerbino, Kaitlyn, Jaclin, Craig, Alex and Lara O'Malley, Keely and Nick Cazzolla and Jillian (Oscar) Luna; four great granddaughters: Ava, Savannah, Mila and Cambria; many cousins, nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Lawrence Tomasini and sister-in-law Rosemarie Tomasini.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4 from 4:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, NY. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 26 John Street, Stony Point. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Scleroderma Foundation in honor of his precious late wife Geri.
