Allan, Scott & Family, The memory of your Mother, will be with us always.  In times like this, you recall all that she meant to all of us. Especially, to you her beloved and cherished children.  She was an incredible Mother, Sister, Sister in Law, Friend. She touched us all in an incredible way.  She will live in our hearts and thoughts Forever!

Our deepest sympathy to Allan, Scott and the entire Rios family. Evelyn and I met when we were both taking an introduction to computer class way back in 1985. When we introduced ourselves, and she heard my last name, she turned around and said, "Torres was my maiden name".  Where are you from? I told her "the Bronx". Well, it so happened that we used to go to the same church, St. Athanasius had graduated from the same high school. And so a friendship developed. It was fate that crossed our path that night. She became my daughter's sitter until she was old enough to come home by herself. I went to work knowing that my daughter was in good capable hands. We will miss Evelyn, her kind and gentle heart, infectious laugh, sense of humor. Until we meet again, forever in our hearts.

We are so sorry for your loss. Dr. Rios and your entire family are in our thoughts during this time.

Evelyn was a wonderful friend.  She always had a smile no matter what was happening-(good or bad).  She loved to laugh and make a joke of everything.  She was always on the positive side of everything.  Throughout her illnesses she made you laugh and not feel sorry for her.  She always said God's not finish with me yet and always with a smile.  I will miss you Evelyn and our long lunches at Panera Bread.   Alan, Scott and your family may you have peace and know that she will always be with you.  God Bless all of you.

If there was ever a word that is synonymous with LOVE, that word would be MOTHER.  And Evelyn more than loved her sons, Allan, Scott, and her whole family.
On the morning of MAY 15, 2013, GOD called Evelyn back to HEAVEN so she can continue her work as an ANGEL of LOVE.  
As her cousin, I've known Evelyn since we were both about 6 years old and have always known her as loving, giving, and with a tremendously beautiful sense of humor. I still remember when we went together to a church dance at ST. Athanasius. I wore a light blue seersucker suit and she wore a beautiful peach colored gown. We were both about 18 years old at that time. There are so many things about Evelyn I will never forget.
Dear Evelyn, we will all miss you here on Earth, and you will always live in our HEARTS. We will see you again someday.

I was so fortunate to have Evelyn as my sister-in-law. I have been  remembering the times she spend with us here in Florida and how much we all enjoyed the visit.  She was great to talk to and she will be missed by us.  I know there will be an empty space in Alex's heart.  He loved talking to his sister on a regular basis and they both enjoyed telling their stories.  Evelyn earned her Angel wings while with us and God has greeted her with open arms.  May you rest in peace dear Evelyn.  We will cherish you forever.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I wish there was something that I could say that would do justice here, but all I can say is that Evelyn was a wonderful woman who we are richer for having known. She took care of us and showered us with love. That is a great and treasured gift. Your entire family is in our thoughts.

My heart is with you Allan and Scott, your Mother was the sweetest and kindest person I have known.  It was and still is an honor to have had her as my sister-in-law.  Her brother and I will miss her dearly and recall all memories of times shared with her with great love and fondness.  Know that her love of family continues with us always.
