
Felicia Ann Gubnitsky, (nee Hoffman), passed away peacefully at Villa Marie Claire Hospice in Saddle River, New Jersey on October 10. Born in Bronxville and raised in Yonkers, Felicia Ann was a graduate of Lincoln High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts from Eisenhower College. An active member and former deacon of Germonds Presbyterian Church, Felicia Ann was a Technical Analyst at Citigroup who put her fascination with linguistics to work in her professional career. She had a keen appreciation for music and an incredible ear for harmonies. She was also an avid sports fan and an adept and agile competitor. Felicia Ann was loved and admired for her inner strength, independent spirit, and quick wit. She had the uncanny ability to proffer both fierce protection and tender nurturing to her two sons.
She was predeceased by her husband, Chuck Gubnitsky and her parents, Lee A. and Felicia Hoffman. She is survived by her sons David and Daniel, and siblings Lee A. Hoffman Jr. (Mimi) of South Nyack, Edward A. Hoffman (Maxine) of Highland Mills, and Janet Cravath (Peter) of Des Plaines, IL, uncle and aunt Alfred and Elizabeth Hathcock of Lillian, AL and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Her family will miss her indomitable strength, gentle grace and droll humor.
