Florence Catherine Regan

Florence “Nana” Catherine Regan (nee Contant) of Spring Valley passed away peacefully on October 4, 2021, with the love of her family surrounding her. Nana was born in Dobbs Ferry, NY on December 19, 1927 to Freida and Arthur Contant. Prior to starting her family, she worked in the business office for the NY Telephone company. She married her husband, John “Jack” Stephen Regan on April 19, 1958.

She is predeceased by her husband Jack, her granddaughter Jenny and her sister, Margaret Bowne. She is survived by her children, Susan and her husband Kent Pedersen and John Jr. and his wife Jean. She will be missed dearly by the loves of her life, her grandchildren - Kate, Ashley, Courtney and John Michael. She was known for her big heart, and anyone who met her was instantly her friend. Nothing made her happier than to give and receive hugs from her friends and family.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday Oct. 7th, 10am at St. Augustine’s Church, New City, with Entombment to follow in Ascension Cemetery, Airmont NY.
