Frances Ruszkowski of Congers, NY died on January 9, 2011. She was 78. Frances was born January 31, 1932 in New York City to Peter and Frances (Shea) Smith. She had lived in Congers for 6 years. Prior Brooklyn, NY and was a Rosarian at St.Thomas Aquinas Church in Brooklyn for many years. Frances is survived by two sons and a daughter. William and Jenny Ann of New City; Dorothy and Thomas Cunningham of Congers and Edward and Lisa of Staten Island. Eight grandchildren; Lauren, Christopher, Michael, Daniel, Regina, Susan, Samantha, and Joseph; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brody and Jordyn. She was predeceased by her husband William in 2004. The family will receive friends today and tomorrow from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Higgins Funeral Home in New City. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:30AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church with burial to follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
