

Affectionately known as “Yaya,” Gloria was born and raised in East Harlem, New York. She worked for Metropolitan Hospital for many years before retiring to West Nyack, New York, to be closer to her family.
Gloria loved life, God, and found great joy in her family, good food, music, and her beloved dog, Olivia. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom made her incredibly proud.
Gloria is survived by her children: Lourdes E. Rodriguez and son-in-law Juan Rodriguez; Debbie Blanchette; Judith Ocasio; and Carl John Oliveras, with daughter-in-law Donna Singh.
She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Jillian, Justin, Dana, Dennis, David, Lauren, Jeremy, Brittany, and Jonathan, and nine great-grandchildren: Cayden, Saneta, Jacob, Madison, Melody, Arya, Jianna, Sienna, Josiah, and Savannah.
Gloria’s love, laughter, strength, and devotion to her family will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her family will forever cherish the memories they made together and the love she gave so freely.
Services will be held in Florida, where her family now resides.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to United Hospice of Rockland – Joe Raso Residence, in gratitude for the loving care and compassion provided to Gloria during her final month. The family extends their deepest appreciation to the entire staff for their kindness, dignity, and unwavering support during such a difficult time.
Yaya will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
