Gloria is survived by her beloved daughters, AnnMarie Rogers, Liana Vaughan, and Gloria Maria Santolini, as well as her stepson, William Hoyt Rogers. She was also a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many.
A lifelong educator, Gloria dedicated her career to shaping young minds as a teaching associate. She began as a reading teacher, but as her Bronx neighborhood evolved, she found her calling in teaching English as a Second Language. Her passion for education was deeply rooted in her studies in Education during college.
Beyond the classroom, Gloria's heart was in community service. She was always volunteering—whether assisting at voting booths, organizing church functions, or leading a senior’s club in Stony Point. She was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughters, a Den Mother for her sons, and a class mother for all her children. Her dedication to helping others was a defining part of her life.
Gloria will be remembered for her loving and positive energy, her genuine smile, and her contagious laughter. She had an unwavering faith in life after death and lived every day committed to doing God’s work.
A wake will be held in her honor on Wednesday March 19th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Service, 321 South Main St., New City, NY.
In lieu of flowers, Gloria wished for donations to be made to a charity of your choice in her name, honoring her spirit of generosity and love.
