Graceann’s love for art brought her to SUNY Farmingdale where she earned a degree in Graphic Arts and Design. She enjoyed painting, floral and jewelry designing, and creative beadwork. This talent was not lost on hairstyling, makeup and clothing. Her entrepreneurial spirit was at work as co-owner and designer at Crystals on The Rocks where she was able to create unique pieces but as importantly teach the artistic ways to others. Here she established long-standing friendships with the “beading ladies”,Rita, Linda, and Carolyn. She nurtured a group of close knit friends Diana, Kathy, Joanne, Betty that shared her love of life, her generous heart and infectious smile that belied her health challenges these past 7 years. With warm laughter and humor, unconditional love for family and dogs, fashion, hair and decorating exploits, culinary adventures, love for Elvis, the Wizard of Oz, and old movies made her uniqueness shine.
This beautiful person spent many years nurturing precious children who brought so much joy to her life as mother, grandmother, aunt, and Nanny. A “huge hug of love” shared with her own grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah and now little James as well as her nieces, nephews and children of her extended family and close friends will be missed.
