Helen Bruno

Helen Bruno of Nanuet, NY, 94 years old, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2020. Helen was a resident of Nanuet for the past 25 years. Before that she lived in Pearl River for 34 years. Born on October 2, 1925 she was one of four children born to Louis and Christina Aulicino in Astoria, Queens. In 1952, she married Louis Bruno and started their family in Pelham Bay, Bronx, NY. Helen was a member of the Nanuet Senior Club. She enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family and close friends. She is survived by her daughter Christina Vicente (husband Carlos); her sons Mike (wife Mary), and Anthony. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas and Miranda, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition, her long-time companion George Rosato among other good friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband Louis. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday February 19, from 4-8 pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 20, at 10am, at St. Anthony’s Parish Church in Nanuet, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
