Helen C. Franklin, 90, died June 7, 2014. A resident of New City since 1960, Mrs. Franklin had been a court clerk of the Rockland County Family Court during the 1970s and 1980s. From her first marriage to Harold B. Thomas, she is survived by her sons, Randall, Geoffrey, and Brant. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Dominic and Anne, two daughters-in-law, Michele and Carol, her niece, Carol Gabory, her grandson's partner, Ismay Atkins, and a great-granddaughter, Elise. Mrs. Franklin's second husband, John B. Franklin predeceased her in 2006, and her son, Scott predeceased her in 1989.
Visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main St., New City on Tuesday, June 10th, from 6-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 11th 10am at St. Augustine's Church New City, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hi Tor Animal Shelter Pomona, NY.
